Driving a strong and diversified economy
The Investment Attraction Fund (the Fund) was established to encourage new investment in Western Australia that will create local jobs and contribute to a more diversified economy.
In 2022, the Western Australian Government launched the first round of the Fund, prioritising identified projects and sectors for strategic development including energy; primary industries; defence; space; health and medical life sciences; international education; tourism, events and creative industries; and mining equipment, technology and services.
In 2023, the Western Australian Government launched the Fund’s specialised New Energies Industries Funding Stream and supported projects in carbon capture, utilisation and storage, low emissions iron and critical minerals.
