Simone Spencer | Deputy Director General - Strategy, Performance and International Engagement
Simone is the Deputy Director General of Strategy, Performance and International Engagement at the Western Australian Department of Energy and Economic Diversification. Simone and her team shape and align strategy, policy, planning, evaluation and communication across DEED to ensure effective delivery and resource utility while leading the Government’s investment, trade and international engagement agenda.
Key areas of focus for Simone and her team include economic diversification, industry decarbonisation and fostering a cohesive approach to the State’s long-term economic development including leading Invest and Trade Western Australia, the State’s ‘front door’ for investors and exporters.
New prospectus highlights investment-ready opportunities in the State of Energy
The Western Australian (WA) Investment Prospectus, announced at the Global Citizen NOW: Perth by Premier Roger Cook, highlights investment-ready opportunities across critical minerals, renewable energy, and the energy transition for investors.
The prospectus showcases projects that align with the State’s economic diversification priorities and provides investors with access to opportunities supporting long-term economic growth, decarbonisation and increasing global demand for energy transition.
